As well as being a four-year scholarship, the OWLS program was designed to create a network between students as they obtain their bachelors degrees and beyond. Together, they’ll have access to speakers and leaders in various fields that reflect the inaugural class's diverse ambitions.

Ron Brown Scholars receive $40,000 toward their college of choice, and are provided mentoring, leadership experiences, and service opportunities.

Each Scholar is being awarded a $20,000 college scholarship and joins an alumni family of over 6,450 visionary leaders who are refreshing the world together.

Awards 100 college-bound seniors from underserved and underrepresented communities with four-year, $40,000 scholarships and guaranteed paid internships at Amazon after their freshman year.

As one of the nation’s largest college financial aid programs in the country, the Horatio Alger National Scholarship Program is one of the major scholarship programs nationally that specifically assists high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. The scholarships are funded by Horatio Alger Members who, like the Scholars, have experienced challenges but ultimately overcame them to become successful business and civic leaders.

QuestBridge is a nonprofit college match program for high-achieving students in need of financial aid that partners with 42 of the nation’s top colleges to provide highly qualified students – many of them first generation college students - access to affordable higher education.

These students have demonstrated a passion for technology, academic excellence, and have proven themselves as exceptional leaders and role models. They will join a community of over 2,600 Google scholarship recipients. We can’t wait to see how these students continue to shape the future of computer science, gaming, and technology.

Kynnedy Smith is a finalist in the 13th annual Stop the Hate Youth Speak Out contest, hosted by the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage. The museum awards $100,000 to 25 students in sixth-12th grades in 12 Northeast Ohio counties. The competition is rooted in the Jewish value of respect for all humanity.

Technology should tell the story of the world it deems to serve. These bright and ambitious students bring their unique perspectives to computer and data science.

HERlead also provided grant funding for more than 284 social impact projects. This groundbreaking initiative was a collaboration between Vital Voices Global Partnership and ascena retail group inc., including its Ann Taylor and LOFT brands.

We wanted to highlight one of those youth - our Youth Sustainability Leadership Program (YSLP) participant Kynnedy Simone Smith. She became involved in the world of sustainability at quite a young age and has been on an ascending path towards an exciting career.

The pandemic has sent ripples through the education system in the United States, in many ways permanently changing how our nation’s children learn. Amongst these change, how students are tested has been altered as well.

Briefly meeting Kynnedy Smith at Disney Dreamers this year, it was simple to decipher that she exudes humble confidence and at the tender age of 16 years old, she is a young girl who is keenly aware of her purpose.

Kynnedy Smith of Hawken School and Bryson Simpson of Gilmour Academy will take part in the Disney Dreamers Academy in Florida. The 4-day program allows 100 exceptional young people from around the country to gain the tools they need to help make their dreams come true. The experience will afford multiple opportunities for motivation including hearing from speakers like Steve Harvey.
